sad joke on a marae

In English we have been reading a poem called a Sad Joke on a Marae by Apirana Taylor. The poem is about a man who growing up didn’t know much about his culture and had a tough childhood. The only maori he knew was tihei mauriora.

Here's is my personal response drawing I made. I drew a man in jail because in the poem it mentioned that jail was his home.
